Figure Drawing

View class option details »

Working directly from a live model is a great way to learn and practice drawing. This 8 week class offers participants the opportunity to learn to draw the human figure. The class welcomes both beginners and practicing artists. Beginners have a chance to work from life and learn about perspective, scale, quality of line, form, value, composition, and expression, while seasoned artists can hone in on specific challenges, or refresh their skill set. Working from the nude model, students will experience quick and gestural poses, then progress to longer poses. CMS provides easels and support boards for drawing pads; students should bring their own drawing supplies. Maximum number of students is 12.
