“Memoryware” originated as an African-American folk art tradition whereby lost and broken pieces were pieced together to to honor a loved one or to remember one who had passed on. In this new CMS 6 week class, students will find inspiration using relics, mementos, or shards to create a tribute to a person, place, or time.  Students will learn basic mosaic skills and work on composition and application. Participants should bring their own personal collection of small objects, jewelry,  and/or broken items (or pieces to break). Students will have access to the school’s fine collection of shards and materials.

Prerequisite: Intro to Mosaics I (or by permission)
