Advanced Materials and Processes Workshop
During this 6-day course, students will be taken through all steps of creating a modern mosaic, with advanced lessons on each portion of the process, starting at the concept and working through the sketch, cartoon, materials selection, substrate and then the execution of the mosaic using the direct method with thinset. Students will do one-on-one online conferencing with the instructor prior to the course to discuss concept intent and suggestions for sketching and design. Each day will consist of lecture, exercises, critique and discussion, and individualized instruction while working. All materials at CMS, as well as supplies and use of tools, are included.
