Originally an African-American folk art tradition, lost and broken mementos were pieced together to honor a family member or to remember a loved one who had passed on. In this 6 week class students use personal relics, mementos, or shards to create a tribute to a person, place, or time. Students will learn basic mosaic skills and work on composition and application. Bring your personal collection of small objects, jewelry, and/or broken items (or pieces to break). Additional mosaic materials are included.

All materials are included.

Prerequisite: Mosaic I (was Intro to Mosaics I) (or by permission).
