Mosaic I

Our signature 6-week class is geared toward beginners and primarily self-taught students who want to learn about basic techniques, tools and materials in mosaic art. This informative class covers cutting, proper adhesives, substrates, design/layout and grouting. Students are introduced to a wide variety of materials and will complete two projects during the class, exploring both traditional and contemporary techniques. Students are encouraged to experiment with color and texture to begin to discover the possibilities of this beautiful art form.

All materials are included. No prerequisite.

This class is also offered as an intensive weekend workshop.

“This course was my first class in mosaics. I was able to apply and understand the concepts the instructor gave me. I think I have a good foundation for additional courses in the study of mosaics.” – B.H., Illinois

“I like the atmosphere of the school, the energy of the instructors and the students. I have already recommended the class to others.” – J.S., Chicago
