Online Andamento Drawing with Sue Giannotti – NEW!!

Out of stock

The ability to draw “andamento” – the visual flow and direction of the lines of tesserae, as well as choosing the corresponding tesserae shapes and style is key to creating a better mosaic. This valuable course covers the foundational rules of the language of mosaic and takes a historical look at how different tesserae shapes and interactions have been used to obtain various visual effects.

In this online format, in order to maximize information and minimize zoom-fatigue, we will have a combination of online class lectures as well as “off-screen” time in which students will complete a variety of exercises to reinforce the techniques covered. To best re-create the in-person quality of education, students will receive individualized in-depth feedback on their exercise work to allow them further opportunity for growth, as well as receive an optional one-on-one consultation on Saturday.Enrolling students should have reliable internet access, webcam/microphone, skills to email photos to the instructor, a mechanical pencil with HB lead, polymer eraser.
